Children's nurses place each child at the centre of their work and aim to 'assist the child or young person and their family to prevent or manage the physical, social, psychological and spiritual effects of a health problem or condition and it's treatment' (RCN 2003).
They work across a range of settings such as neonatal/paediatric intensive care units, ambulatory walk-in centres, schools, children's or district general hospitals or respite/palliative care teams based in communities.
Our BSc (Hons) Child Nursing Degree is designed to equip you with the practical skills and academic knowledge to apply for registration to become a children's nurse.
