Our Research Programmes

Facilitating Effectiveness in the Workplace: Flourishing People, Workplaces and Care

Our current programmes of funded research, impact evaluation and innovation are in the fields of:

  • Urgent and Emergency Care
  • Primary and Community Care
  • Health Visiting Practice
  • Mental Health and well being
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Workforce modelling - community and mental health
  • Wellbeing of Older People
  • End of Life Care
  • Facilitating Learning, Development and Inquiry in the Workplace
  • Whole Systems Leadership

All of our current research and innovation approches use of the principles of collaboration, inclusion and participation (CIP principles to ensure that service users and practitioners are placed at the heart of driving change and innovation in a creative partnership).

Our Joint Clinical Chair model with a number of NHS organisations has helped to drive sustainable change within organisations and promote uptake of evidence to improve practice. A number of our funded research programmes involve expertise from international visiting scholars and researchers.

Our funded research activities aim to develop the research skills of practitioners at the front line as part of our team so that we are driving research capacity building, enabling others to contribute to the research and innovation process, publish their work and present at conferences to disseminate findings.
