I joined Canterbury Christ Church University on 1st June 2015 as a lecturer-work based facilitator in the Centre for Work-Based Learning and Continuing Development from practice. My previous employment was with East Kent Hospitals as Matron for Ambulatory Care. Whilst in this role I developed a work based Ambulatory Care degree nursing module in collaboration with Christ Church. This work was recognised by the Ambulatory Emergency Care Delivery Network in 2014, when I was presented with a certificate of achievement for workforce development.
I have presented nationally on the development of the work based Ambulatory Care degree nursing module and how collaboration with Christ Church enabled this learning to be accredited through the BSc Applied Practice negotiated module.
Work based learning and Ambulatory Care.
I have the great honour of sitting on the council of the British Association of Ambulatory Care as the nurse representative for education
