Visible Body is an interactive resource which provides an introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the human body via 3D models, illustrations and animations.

Use Visible Body to complement your textbook and classroom-based learning. The technology allows you to zoom, pan, rotate and dissect the 3D models of the 12 body systems (Cells & Tissue, Integumentary, Skeletal, Muscular, Nervous, Endocrine, Circulatory, Lymphatic, Respiratory, Digestive, Urinary and Reproductive).

CCCU subscribes to two Visible Body pacakages and you will see both listed in LibrarySearch under the ‘Find Databases A-Z’ option.

You have access to Visible Body A&P which includes the 3D anatomy and physiology modules.

Plus Visible Body Premium which contains the following:

  • Human Anatomy Atlas – a general reference tool with a 3D visualisation tool allowing viewers to explore systems in the human body.
  • Speciality modules – Muscle, Skeleton and Heart & Circulatory – where viewers can take a comprehensive walk through various complicated systems of the body by way of 3D models, interactive presentations, quick movies and visually stunning images.
  • Go to LibrarySearch or access it via the University Services on your Blackboard.
  • Log in using your CCCU username and password. If you are away from campus, or connecting with your own device over Wi-Fi, you will need to include @canterbury.ac.uk after your CCCU username.
