CINAHL stands for Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature.

CINAHL Complete is a well-respected database that students and professionals use to search for literature. The subjects covered include adult, child and mental health nursing incorporating 50 nursing specialities such as critical care nursing, oncology nursing, surgical nursing and more. The allied health aspect means there is a whole host of information for those studying radiography, public health, occupational therapy, paramedic science, physical therapy, operating department practice, speech & language therapy plus midwifery and social work.

CINAHL Complete provides functions to make your search both efficient and effective. For example, you can limit your results by geographic location, publication date and age of patient. This means you can search for articles about diabetes and focus your search to articles that feature teenagers, were published in the last 5 years and are centred on services and issues in the UK & Ireland.

    1. Go to LibrarySearch or access it via the University Services on your Blackboard.
