Audio & Microphone Issues

Browser Support

This support page link above features a list of web browsers against the compatible elements of Collaborate sessions. All University computers are set up for the best experience using Google Chrome.

Known Issues:

  • Some users on older or underpowered ChromeBooks and iOS devices (iPads and iPhones) may experience audio breaking up in their live Blackboard Collaborate Ultra session due to hardware configuration and CPU capabilities. Where not possible to use another device (e.g. from an employer or school) then make sure to close any other open applications/tabs, only use basic features such as chat, and avoid using camera where possible.
