Blackboard Original Groups.

Blackboard Groups are a way for a small number of students to communicate for study or projects.

Groups have their own collaboration areas in a Blackboard course so that they cancommunicate and make use of a number of additional tools as allowed by the course tutorsor module team.

Access to a group will take one of two forms:

  • Pre-enrolment – the most common type found in Blackboard modules, these rely onthe course tutor or module team to add the relevant students to each group.
  • Self-enrolment – these are groups that students can enrol themselves into from a listof available groups.
