Kevin Ruane is Professor of Modern History at Canterbury Christ Church University and a By-Fellow of Churchill College, University of Cambridge. He specialises in 20th-century international history and has written and published widely on many aspects of postwar international history, including books on the Vietnam War, Anglo-American Relations and European unity. Kevin’s most recent book, published to wide acclaim by Bloomsbury in 2016, is Churchill and the Bomb in War and Cold War, which explores Churchill’s relationship with, and thinking on, nuclear weapons. He is currently working on his next book, focusing on the Churchill-Eden relationship and the Cold War in Asia in the 1950s.
