Johnson Community Wellbeing Wildlife Garden, NHR campus
“Nature gives to each time and season some beauties of its own”. Charles Dickens Despite the effects of climate change on weather patterns across the world, here in the UK, our four seasons come and go, and are still very distinct from one another - as represented by the 'Celtic Wheel of the Year'. To mark and celebrate key times in the passing of the seasons, the Sustainability team have invited local garden designer, forager and permaculture advocate, Jo Barker, to facilitate a programme of two-hour drop-in workshops in the Johnson Wellbeing Wildlife Garden.
Come learn more about the symbolism of each time of year, what’s happening in the natural world at that time, and participate in activities to help you connect to your natural environment. Jo will also lead a forage in the Garden for a herbal tea. (Cups and hot water will be provided).
