We are proud to announce a conversation between multiple Oscar winning film editor Thelma Schoonmaker Powell and Professor Ian Christie.

This conversation is a unique opportunity for students, staff and the public to engage in a discussion about Powell and Pressburger’s work, its importance and relevance in a contemporary world.

The event is open to students, staff and the public, providing a platform for dialogue and networking within our vibrant film community. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session, further fostering collaborative discourse.

The lecture runs alongside a two-day conference, 'Every Age is a Canterbury Pilgrimage: Powell and Pressburger’s ‘A Canterbury Tale': 1944 and 2024', which takes place on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 June.

This is an in-venue event taking place in Powell Lecture Theatre, Pg09, in Powell building, on our North Holmes Road campus.

CCCU staff and students can attend for free. To get your free ticket(s) please use the promotional code CCCUTALE when prompted. CCCU ID must be presented on the door to gain entry with all free tickets.
