Come and create climate games with us as the Games Design team collaborate with the Academy for Sustainable Futures to bring you a Climate Games Jam!

Come and create climate games with us this study week from Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March, as the Games Design team collaborate with the Academy for Sustainable Futures to bring you a Climate Games Jam!

The Climate Games Jam is a week-long games creation event taking place over study week at the end of February in which participants create games in response to prompts which we'll provide. These games, whether physical or digital, will be based on the topic of sustainability and the climate crisis. At the opening theme and climate talk, participants will learn about sustainability, performative play and game design, and receive the prompts that will guide what they create. At the end of the week, they will pitch their game to the judges, playtest it with other participants, and be in the running to win a prize!

  • 26 February, 12-1, Laud Lg16 - Opening Theme and Climate Talk

The talk will cover the basics of sustainability, designing games to encourage action, and the theme of the week.

  • 1 March, 1-4, Daphne Oram DO.2.4-5 - Judging and Prizes

Games will be pitched, play-tested and entered for judging to be in with a chance to win a prize.

You can sign up at any point during the week, starting at the opening talk. Sign up will open with further information here at midday on 26 February: https://itch.io/jam/cccu-climate-games-jam
