How to Report a fault

If you are worried about an issue that is potentially life-threatening , dangerous or something that could cause long term serious damage then call security on 01227 922355 immediately.

We will make the issue safe, but may not be able to fix it straightaway – e.g stop the serious leak, in winter provide temporary heating if a boiler needs further repair or parts.


Non Urgent Faults


Requests for non urgent repairs should be made by the Planon App.

Use the App to scan the QR code in the room where the fault is 

To get set up (you will only have to do this once and then you are ready to go)

1. Download the Planon App on your mobile – make sure you select the planon app with the purple icon 


2.Click on Get a Login QR Code

3. Enter your university username e.g abc123 and your university password. 

4.You will be presented with a one time QR Code. This is only valid for 1 minute.

5. Open the app on your phone and select the Sign in with QR code option.

6. Scan the QR code on screen and the app will log you in.

You are now ready to scan the QR code in your room.
