The Founders Prize

The Class of 1962 - 65, our very first education students and our first alumni, marked the University's 50th anniversary in 2012 by generously donating a student prize.

Given annually, the prize is awarded to a student from the Faculty of Education in recognition of an original published article.

"We wanted to give something back to the University and to recognise our contribution as founder students. We also wanted to thank the University for their generosity in awarding us Honorary Degrees during the Golden Jubilee year."
