Profile summary
I currently work in the Faculty of Education. My academic interests are Computing and how it can be used not only as a tool for teaching and learning but also the teaching of programming to primary aged pupils.
I lead on the Undergraduate course for Computing and also Lead on Year 3 Mathematics on the Undergraduate course.
Research and knowledge exchange
As part of my role I support schools with their development of the Computing curriculum specifically with relation to programming.
I have an MA in ICT and Education with my final dissertation being on Online Learning Environments and how effectively they are used or not used and the reasons behind this.
External activities
I am currently the external examiner at Plymouth for Mathematics on the B Ed and various PGCE courses including School Direct from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.
