I am a Senior Lecturer in Education within the School of Teacher Education and Development and one of the Primary NQT leads. I have taught across a range of ITE programmes within the undergraduate, postgraduate and Teach First pathways.
I have taught primary mathematics, primary English and primary geography across a range of ITE programmes.
As Primary NQT lead, I support CCCU trainees in the transition to the NQT year and keep in touch with them via email and regular newsletters and support their development by organising the Primary NQT Conference.
My university work has built on over 20 years of experience as a primary class teacher and senior leadership roles in schools in Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent. I have also worked at CCCU on a sessional basis since 2008, alongside teaching in school.
My research interests lie within mathematics and developing resilience in early career teachers.
