Gina Donaldson was a primary school teacher for eleven years before moving into Higher Education. She has a BEd (Cantab) in Mathematics and Education, an MA in Education and an Ed. D including research into deep subject knowledge of mathematics. She is a senior lecturer and the Curriculum Team Leader for Primary Mathematics at Canterbury Christ Church University. She also leads mathematics specialist routes into Initial Teacher Education. She is particularly interested in children’s mathematical thinking and the mathematical knowledge of primary teachers.
Research and knowledge exchange
Gina Donaldson supports the evaluation of a selection of the NCETM primary mastery programmes.
