To mark CCCU’s jubilee year, the conference explored the use of innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to tackle the problems the world is facing. Our speakers discussed the adoption of interdisciplinarity in a wide range of subject areas, including those listed below, to develop understanding and make a positive difference:

Our Keynote speaker was Dr Jenny Gibson, chief scientist at NESTA and leader of the Play and Communication Lab at the University of Cambridge. Dr Gibson discussed their experiences of interdisciplinary work in academia and their work at NESTA.
