Learn in a new cultural environment and improve your language and communication skills by studying abroad through the Erasmus Scheme. The Erasmus Scheme gives you the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or a full academic year as part of your degree.

We have been arranging Erasmus exchanges for 15 years and have partnerships with universities across Europe. We will try our best to find an option that suits you. If studying abroad does not fit with your academic programme there may be a traineeship abroad that you can take. Any periods abroad as part of or in additional to your degree can greatly enhance your CV and give you experience and confidence.

Where can I study?

We have a range of partnerships across Europe, many of which are bespoke according to what you are studying. From CEU San Pablo University in Madrid to living in Reykjavík at Háskóli Íslands (the University of Iceland). To find out what partnerships we currently have, you can contact the Erasmus Coordinator on erasmus@canterbury.ac.uk

Wherever you decide you go, you are certain to find somewhere to explore and call home for a semester or more.

How do I apply?

If you wish to study abroad as part of the Erasmus scheme or want to talk through your options, please ask to discuss this with your Programme Director and get in touch with the Erasmus Coordinator by emailing erasmus@canterbury.ac.uk.
