As a returning student it is important that you complete online re-registration as soon as you can to officially continue as a Canterbury Christ Church University Student.

Those who are eligible will be invited, by email, to re-register before the start of your new academic year.

If you have not yet been invited by email to re-register, please don’t worry. You will receive your invitation after your board of examiners has met and your student record updated for 2020/21. We are continually updating records and sending invitations out on a regular basis. Over the next few days, it is expected that we will be able to issue invitations to re-register to the majority of students who are still waiting for this confirmation.

If you have any questions about your modules or progression please contact your Programme Team.

If you are eligible to re-register but you are having problems completing the process please contact the i-zone via i-zone@canterbury.ac.uk .

Why re-register?

Completing re-registration as soon as you can will ensure that:

  • You can get your finance on time at the start of the year. Your first student maintenance loan instalment will only be able to be released to you at the start of the academic year if you have registered.
  • Your Programme Team knows to expect you and will be ready to support your smooth transition to the next academic year.
  • You have access to all the online services and resources you need to succeed.
  • Your smartcard is still valid.
  • You can access your individual timetable.
  • All your contact details are up-to-date.
  • You can focus on preparing for your next year of study.
  • You will stop receiving reminders to complete re-registration

When to re-register?

You should re-register as soon as you receive your invitation to do so. If you do not re-register you will not receive funding from the Student Loans Company and may be withdrawn from your programme. You will be sent an invitation and reminders by email.

How to re-register?

From mid-August, those who are eligible will be invited, by email to their university address, to re-register before they return in September. It is easy to do and only takes 5 minutes online.

You will simply need to login to Your Services and go to the Must Do Tile.

Eligibility

You are eligible to re-register if you have received your results, confirming you are able to continue with your studies in 2020/21, and your student record has been prepared for re-registration.

You should expect to receive an invitation to re-register from mid-August onwards, please keep an eye out on your inbox for the invitation to re-register.

Results release dates are available here.

Terms and conditions of student registration

The arrangements set out in these Terms and Conditions apply to all students registered with us. They define the basis of the contractual agreement between you as the student and us as the University.

It’s important you read the Terms and Conditions, and Your Fees Your Responsibilities so you understand the rules, regulations, policies and procedures that are in place to help ensure all students are treated fairly.  You’ll be asked to agree to these as part of your online registration tasks.

Changes to your Programme

Due to Covid-19, like all universities, we are going to have to adapt and to do things differently.

For the next semester/trimester we are committed to providing a mix of on-site face to face and digital learning and teaching. The exact mix will vary between programmes and programme modules taking into account teaching requirements and other considerations such as meeting the safety of vulnerable staff.

Our response to the pandemic may mean we have to make changes to your programme. This is to take account of important health and safety measures.

Your Programme Team will notify you via email and on your Blackboard of any changes that you may expect for the semester/trimester ahead.

It is important that you understand that by re-registering on your programme, you are agreeing to these changes. If you re-register before the 24 August and have questions about the changes please contact your Programme Team.

Any questions?

First, check if you have received an email to say you can re-register – we will be updating records over the next few weeks and sending invitations out on a regular basis.
