We will begin with the nineteenth century and look at the work of Emily Dickinson and Christina Rossetti. We will then read twentieth century poets, including Kathleen Raine, Denise Levertov, Mary Oliver, Jane Kenyon and Jane Hirshfield. Depending on the interests of the group, we may also include some poets in translation such as Anna Akhmatova.
