Find out more about how an exercise in our Hydra suite can prepare your business for challenging situations.
The policing team, in collaboration with Kent Police, deliver one-day Hydra (immersive simulation) exercises for Kent Police Information Asset Owners (IAO) and associated business leads. The Hydra Suite allows participants to be drawn into an experience, getting the chance to respond in real-time to realistic pressures in a safe learning environment and can be used for a large variety of scenarios for different organisations. Hydra would be useful to any sector wanting to test their response to a large-scale interruption to business continuity.
The programme design used Kent Police policies and procedures to create a practical and relevant workplace learning experience. The data breach scenarios equip participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to effectively lead the organisational response and identify system vulnerabilities.
The immersive learning experience empowers participants to develop an understanding of how to minimise the risk of Force data breaches or respond to data-related critical incidents, whether accidental or deliberate. Reflection and the sharing of best practice encourages participants to focus upon role responsibilities and the development of innovative organisational safeguards.
Participants reported raised confidence levels and abilities to lead collaborative teams responsible for responding to emergent critical data-related incidents and develop innovative preventative system vulnerability strategies. To support practice, participants are provided with tailored performance feedback, an evidence-based report, that empowers leaders to proactively manage and reduce the threat, harm and risk posed by organisational data breaches.
‘‘The collaborative working and learning from colleagues on the risks and considerations related to breaches of data/security’’.
‘‘Showed the importance of data security in important real-life scenarios. Will apply this insight in future where possible/necessary’’.
