Postgraduate Study

We have two distinctive offers for postgraduate research, the MPhil/DrPhil route and the MA by Research in Theology and Religious Studies.

MPhil and PhD

(Start: 1 October annually; by exception: 1 January)

MA by Research in Theology and Religious Studies

The MA by Research in Theology and Religious Studies is a research only programme that lasts one year for full-time students, or two years if studying part-time.

Students will explore a topic of their choice in depth under the tuition of a supervisor. Students will have the opportunity to engage in the department’s research seminars and, if required, will receive further training in research methodologies through the Graduate School’s training programme.
