1641 data

The research for the Canterbury 1641 Poll Tax has been supported by Canterbury Archaeological Society, the John Hayes Trust, the William Urry Memorial Trust, and Mrs Peggy Hayes. The research was conducted by Professor Jacqueline Eales and Dr Stephen Rowlstone.

Searches can be made for heads of household by surname, by status (such as gent or widow), and by parish. The spelling of names has not been modernised or standardised - so for example, the name Ladd also appears as Lad.
