Profile summary

I have experience both in teaching and in the third sector. I have worked internationally for not-for-profits and spent over seven years as Region Lead for Youth Citizenship charity, Envision. I am interested in social mobility, social action and youth activism, I am passionate about reducing the huge inequality gap in education. I lead the Level 6 Dissertation Module, and teach across the Suite. 

Research and knowledge exchange

I am currently writing my Ph.D thesis exploring the gendered experience of school-based volunteering for young people. I supervise on the Masters in Education and I have published several articles on Participatory Action Research, Children's Giving and Fundraising in Schools. 

Teaching and subject expertise

 I have a Masters in International Development focusing on community and Civil Society. I am in the final stages of my doctorate. 

External activities

I presented at VSVR in 2018 and 2019.
