Research Environment and Impact

The boundaries of our academic subjects are stretched by the international research work of the staff and students, and the benefits find their way into the cultural and economic life of the nation, directly and indirectly. A thriving research environment leads to high-quality teaching and gives the learning experience a dynamic connection with cultural life beyond the University. The School of Music and Performing Arts has three specialist research units, each with an interdisciplinary focus.
