International Conference on Baroque Music

We were thrilled to host the 17th Biennial International Conference on Baroque Music in July 2016. Since it began in the 1980s the conference has become a renowned and widely recognised musicological event, focusing on all aspects of Baroque music and providing a platform for both long established and emerging scholars.

17th Biennial International Conference on Baroque Music, hosted by Canterbury Christ Church University

Dates: 13–17 July 2016

The previous conference in 2014 was held at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg. The conference has taken place across the UK and the Continent, including Durham, La Rioja, Manchester, Warsaw, Leeds, Belfast and Southampton and we are excited by the prospect of welcoming friends and colleagues from around the world to the beautiful, historic cathedral city of Canterbury and the World Heritage Site on which our University is situated.
