Profile Summary

Phil has worked professionally as a Musical Director on national and international tours, pantomimes, fringe theatre, concerts, community projects and private functions. Previous theatre credits include Footloose, Godspell, The World Goes Round, Bat Boy, All Shook Up and Guys and Dolls as well as tours of S4K’s Hamlet, The Tempest and Romeo and Juliet. Pantomime credits include Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White and Peter Pan at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley; Jack and the Beanstalk at the Festival Theatre, Malvern, and the Central Theatre, Chatham; Peter Pan at the White Rock, Hastings; Snow White at the King’s Theatre, Southsea. Phil is also an experienced Music teacher and vocal coach, having studied Estill Voice Training, and currently teaching peripatetically and in higher and further education.

He also directs and oversees Reach Out Gospel Choir (, which is a community gospel-style choir based in Canterbury, Kent. Alongside his directing credits, he has written for the BBC and spends time composing and arranging for various professional and amateur groups.
