Profile Summary
Dr Michael Chandler studied piano and organ at the Royal Academy of Music; and continued his piano studies at the Department of Music, Canterbury Christ Church University with Ronald Smith and Kim Burwell. He also studied theology at the Institut Catholique, Paris in the 1980s. He returned to the Department of Music to complete a music doctorate, studying Messiaen’s Quartet for the end of Time. He currently lectures in music and liturgical theology, and teaches piano, at the School of Music and Performing Arts; and is engaged as an adult education music tutor for the WEA.
