Profile Summary

Heledd is a flautist and composer whose work encompasses solo, chamber and orchestral appearances alongside television and radio broadcasts on Radio 3, Radio Wales, Channel 4, BBC1 and ABC Classic FM.

Playing at festivals and venues across the UK and western Europe, she has collaborated with composers, djs, choreographers and sound artists, and in the world of improvisation and experimental music she has performed with Evan Parker and Rhodri Davies amongst others.

In her work as a flute teacher and workshop leader Heledd works with all ages and abilities, helping them achieve their goals whether they’re aiming to perform in concerts and competitions, take exams or make their own music for performance. Heledd teaches in the Music Department of Canterbury Christ Church University, Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School and has a few pupils she sees privately too, but in all her education work she aims to foster an openness to new ideas and approaches.
