Modern Foreign Languages

Our Centre has a commitment to communication that extends across all areas of the university. All students at Canterbury Christ Church University have the option of enhancing their degrees with foreign language study.

Modern Language Modules

Students can also take a module in French, Italian, German, Mandarin Chinese or Spanish. This can either be as a part of their degree (value 20 credits) or as an additional seventh module.

Enhance Your Degree

Studying a foreign language is an excellent way to gain insights into other cultures. In our increasingly globalised world, where instant Internet enabled communication across continents has become a part of daily life, linguistic abilities are highly appreciated by many employers.

We would urge all students to augment their studies with the addition of a foreign language. Apart from the practical benefits this will bring the social interaction such studies involve will broaden and enrich your university experience.
