I am currently Programme Director of Film Radio and Television Studies and a Senior Lecturer in The Department of Media, Art and Design. I have worked full time at Canterbury since 2001. Previously I had studied English at Kings College London before completing an MPhil in American Literature which focused on entropic landscapes in American Crime Fiction, primarily looking at the work of James Ellroy, Elmore Leonard, Jim Thompson and David Goodis. My research interests include Utopianism in Cinema, Contemporary Television Drama, Horror, and Identity Politics. My teaching revolves around film and television theory and includes modules in European Cinema, Utopianism in Cinema and Contemporary Televison Drama.
