A. Schnittke, Sonata No. 1 for Cello and Piano.
R. Strauss, Sonata for Cello and Piano in F, Op. 6.
First-rate soloists perform two highly contrasting, magnificent works from the cello and piano repertoire, and then coach Canterbury University Students on everything from stagecraft to working with an accompanist. Matthew and John Paul - greatly in demand both as performers and educators - bring their expertise and passion to Canterbury.
Concert followed at 2.30pm by a free public masterclass, at which our student performers will be coached.
