Piano: John Hursey, Guitar: Michael Mathers. John Hursey and Michael Mathers narrate Oscar Wilde’s tale of love and goodwill, accompanied by music and song to enhance the varying moods of this whimsical tale. The performance includes piano pieces by Chopin, Beethoven and Poulenc, and songs by Nick Drake, The Kinks, and The Beatles. The performers are convinced that this eclectic mélange would have met with Oscar’s approval.
