Opening with Weber’s elegant evocation of the 19th century ballroom, this programme explores dance in all its forms. From the beautiful suite by the virtuoso Russian pianist and composer, Anton Arensky (who celebrates his 150th centenary this year) to the Paris of the 1920s and the quick-silver wit of Germaine Tailleferre. The programme will send you off with a spring in your step with Arthur Benjamin’s ever popular Jamaican Rumba.
