We are honoured to welcome world-renowned pianist, composer and academic David Owen Norris to Canterbury. He will play his signature repertoire – Byrd, Billy Mayerl, Percy Grainger and Elgar along with his virtuoso transcriptions of Walton and Purcell – along with some music of his own. Expect blistering keyboard technique, combined with the kind of eloquent speaking that has made him such a respected presenter on BBC television and radio. This concert is followed, at 2.30pm, by a free two-hour public masterclass at which our student performers will be coached, to include David Owen Norris in conversation about the life of a musician.
