AGE 8+ Inspired by medieval pilgrim badges dropped into the river in Canterbury, we’ll draw on experiences of place to make badges of our own. There will be medieval moulded examples in the gallery. In the morning we’ll work out what we’d like to symbolise, before scratching our designs into plaster of paris to make moulds. Like medieval manufacturers, we can then press-mould as many clay badges as we want before finishing them with glazes in the afternoon. Badges will be fired offsite and will be available to collect within two weeks of the final session.
