It takes the participants on a chronological journey, starting with the present, and works backwards looking at which archive sources can be used for which periods of history. It is aimed at beginners and introduces general register office (GRO) certificates, electoral registers, wills, the census, parish records, tithe maps, Ancestry websites and how to use a local authority record office.
