Wednesday 25 April 2018 | 3pm-5pm |5 sessions Tutor: Dave Macey | Canterbury campus | £54 The romantic era has everything: revolution, expression, the creation of the sublime and extremes of emotion that have changed and influenced art up to contemporary times.
During this course of 5 weeks there will be an exploration of the arts from the late-18th to mid-19th century and how events such as the industrial revolution and the age of enlightenment helped to develop the movement. This will be combined with a study of how Romanticism concentrated on emotion and the individual to provide balance to a fast-changing world.
