Saturday 21 October 2017|10am-5pm Tutor: Carolann Samuels | Canterbury campus | £51 This is a follow-up day to the Introduction to Focusing on 16 September, and is suitable for those who wish to take Focusing a little further or wish to repeat the day. Focusing is Mindfulness – and more. We explore ways of being with ourselves, our experiences and emotions; improving our sense of wellbeing and physical and mental health. These are natural skills that we can rediscover and reconnect with. Focusing encourages us to engage with feelings that come up when we sense inwardly, enabling positive change and growth. This is largely an experiential day, learning how to stay in the present moment and practising Focusing and Listening skills. Handouts will be available. No assessment or written work is required, although you may wish to bring pen and paper for note-taking. These two day-schools continue your introduction to Focusing, and also form the first 12 hours of the 60-hour Focusing Skills course, recognised by the British Focusing Association. You are not expected to undertake the full course unless you wish to. You do not need to have practised Mindfulness or Focusing before joining this course. For more information see the tutor’s website at: www.carolannsamuels.co.uk or contact the Programme Administrator who can put you in touch with the tutor.
