Following a life changing event, I left my career in the City of London in the late 1990’s and undertook a PGCE in English. I had long felt a calling to teaching which has to this day not disappointed. I have taught in selective, non-selective, secular and faith schools. I was Headteacher of Saint George’s CE Secondary School, Gravesend until September 2015. Since then, I have been Executive Headteacher / CEO of the Aletheia Anglican Academies Trust. I am a passionate believer in developing learning communities. We operate one of the very few all-through schools in Kent and will open another in the new Ebbsfleet Garden City in 2023/4. I have been a co-opted, RSC appointed member of the South East and South London Regional Headteacher Board since 2017. I mentor two other executive leaders from trusts elsewhere and believe passionately in the importance of collaboration. I greatly enjoy reading, particularly Southern Noir fiction, I play golf badly and have supported West Ham United since my childhood; which has never failed to bring disappointment!
