Nadra is currently Chair of the National Care Association, Board Member of Parkinson’s UK, Board Member of Care Provider Alliance and the founder of KCTA Services Ltd (a company delivering social care workforce development information, advice and guidance). Nadra was appointed as Co-Convenor of Cavendish Coalition which is the Alliance for “Brexit” related issues relating to the Health and Social Care Workforce.
Previous appointments include serving on the Taskforce for Violence against Social Care Staff. Nadra was previously appointed to the Board of Skills for Care and was elected Vice Chair immediately; she chaired the Equal and Diversity Committee and the Finance and Corporate Services Committee of the Board. Nadra has also chaired the Department of Health’s Practice Learning Taskforce on behalf of Skills for Care and the Learning and Resource Network and was appointed to the White Paper Steering Group on Workforce Issues by the Department of Health.
Nadra is frequently called upon to give evidence at select committees on issues relating to care for older people ranging from human rights to low pay. She is also a regular public speaker on issues relating to health and social care services and specialises in dementia care. She has won numerous Local and National Awards and in 2006 Nadra was awarded an OBE in New Year’s Honours List for services to Social Care. Nadra was appointed as a Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Kent in 2007.
