Judith had a full career in technology and transformation before retiring from full-time employment in 2023. She was raised and educated predominantly in West Sussex and, after taking a degree in Music at Hull University and attaining a diploma from Trinity College, London, discovered she had a flair for computing and embarked on a career involving technology and change, firstly working in the Financial Services sector and latterly working in Telecommunications. She has extensive experience in defining and delivering complex change programmes in large and complex organisations. Her final full-time role was strategic programmes director at BT. During her career she furthered her education attaining a Masters in Business Administration via the Open University and was heavily involved in supporting the BT women's network.
Judith is an experienced Governor; as well as her role for Christchurch University which she has held since 2017 she has served on two Governing Bodies in West Sussex:– a Junior Academy (Member & Vice Chair) and a Secondary School (Chair of Governors), both of which have been recognised for their Outstanding educational provision, and since May 2023, has also been an independent governor for Southern Housing supporting their transformation agenda post-merger.
Outside of work, when she is not enjoying time with her family or walking the dogs, she is Chair of the Sussex Symphony Orchestra and performs a number of concerts each year. She has a passion for travel and reading.
