Dr Alison Eyden

Alison Eyden is Director of Learning and Teaching and leads the department for Learning and Teaching Enhancement (LTE). LTE houses the pathways to teaching qualifications in higher education (accredited programmes and portfolio routes) as well as learning technology, academic professional development, peer mentoring, partners in learning, student retention and success and, transition, orientation and induction.

Originally, Alison qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer and during her postgraduate studies worked in a number of local NHS Trusts. On completing her doctorate, she worked in various roles in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, including programme director for the Interprofessional Learning Programme and most recently as the Faculty Director of Learning and Teaching. Alison led an institutional change project from 2011-2013, has been an external examiner and taken part in numerous validations and programme reviews internally and externally. Alison is Chair of Governors of a local primary school federation and also parent and SEN governor.
