It gives us great pleasure to announce the incredible news that thanks to the extraordinary support of members of the university alumni community, staff and local businesses, Futures has raised enough to be able to offer the very first Futures Aspire Scholarships to two students starting their full-time undergraduate degree in September 2023.

The Futures Aspire Scholarship is an award of £5000 a year offered to a student from a disadvantaged background who may have experienced barriers to succeed in their educational journey.

The University's aim is to transform the life of a student, not only by supporting them financially, but also by offering them the support and guidance of a Futures Coach to build their confidence and aspirations.

“We know that right now our students are struggling significantly with the cost-of-living. This is why its such an incredible achievement that so soon after launching Futures we're able to offer not one, but two, of these life changing scholarships to students starting this September. I'd like to give my warmest thanks to our alumni and local businesses who have donated to make this possible."
