Events and non-teaching activities

Given the uncertainty of the Covid-19 situation, we have made a decision to postpone or cancel public events on our campuses for the foreseeable future (March 17).

This includes:

  • The Applicant Day due to be held next Wednesday 25 March. We are planning a range of online events and will post details as soon as we can.  In the meantime, please take a look at our virtual tour which provides a great insight into what’s on offer on both our Medway and Canterbury Campuses and the surrounding areas. If you’d like to chat to one of our current students, send a message to one of our friendly student ambassadors. https://www.canterbury.ac.uk/study-here/student-life/join-our-community/chat-to-our-students. And if you have any questions our dedicated Course Enquiry Team is standing by to help you. Please email us or telephone 01227 928000.
  • The Medieval Weekend between April 3 - 5. Our Box Office will be in touch with ticket holders to arrange refunds. If you have any questions about the cancellation of this event, please email artsandculture@canterbury.ac.uk

For all other events, our event organisers will be in touch to cancel or refund tickets. We’ll keep you updated as and when the situation changes. We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience this causes.

Unfortunately, we are suspending our activities in schools and colleges. This also includes visits to our campuses. We’ll review the situation again towards the end of the Easter holidays, and will contact schools and colleges to confirm the position for the summer term. If you have any queries, please contact our Schools and Colleges Engagement team: sce@canterbury.ac.uk

Following on from University advice the Students' Union will be shutting their offices from 18 March with staff to work from home.

They will continue to operate as many of their services as possible online and still want to hear from and support you through all of their usual channels.
