The University and its staff can as part of everyday work encounter those who are under 18 years of age – as students or visitors, on work experience and even as employees.
When working with those who are under 18 years of age, it is essential to recognise that there are special requirement that are to be met.
The Under 18s Policy has been developed to help those members of staff who encounter those who are under 18 in their work. For ease we have separated the sections; if you click on the section you require it will take you directly into the relevant section of the policy.
If you require a printable version of the policy you can click here to download a pdf copy.
The policy is periodically reviewed. This was last completed in December 2009. It is expected to be reviewed again later in 2010 to take account of the work of the Independent Safeguarding Authority, information about which is included in Section 7.
Comments on the policy can be at anytime.
