Maths Support
Student Study Support is often asked about the availability of mathematics support. Unfortunately, because of the diverse nature of students' mathematical needs, and current availability of suitably experienced staff, it is unlikely that tutorial support will be able to address the demand for help in this area.
To provide students with access to suitable support material, the University has put together some very useful information on numeracy skills. In addition, we would also recommend the resources provided at the mathcentre. Links to both these sites is given below.
We trust that you will find them a useful self-help resource to enable you to develop appropriate numeracy skills. They are specifically designed for student use and cover important aspects of numeracy, including decimals, fractions, approximations, averages, percentages and ratios. You will also find helpful exercises to practice your skills, as well as answers to check your progress.
Good luck!
