Gap fill exercises

These exercises can help you improve your academic style and vocabulary.  Each one is a short passage, written in an appropriate academic style, but some of the words and phrases have been removed.  The words are listed at the beginning of the exercise and you have to put them in the correct place.  Doing one or two these exercises regularly can help you to focus on grammar, structure, signposting and vocabulary.
