Student health

Some students will be moving away from home when they come to the University. You can help them protect their health whilst they are away by ensuring they are up-to-date with all routine vaccinations (including MMR, Meningitis C, Polio and Tetanus) prior to starting their studies. Once a student arrives at University, they should register with a GP close to where they will be living.

You can help by making sure that they do this soon after they arrive. Students who are not registered with a local GP will find it very difficult to see a doctor if they are not registered (and the University is powerless to do anything in these circumstances).

Students at Canterbury can register with a GP at Canterbury Health Centre (26 Old Dover Road, Canterbury).

Students at Broadstairs and Medway will need to register with a GP Practice in the locality of their campus or their accommodation.   To find a GP service in the local area please click here.
