If you hold a Blue Disabled Person’s Badge, you may use one of the four designated spaces for disabled people at the Broadstairs Campus.
The locations of these spaces are:

behind the Allen Building

by the cycle/smoking shelters next to the Carey Building.
Disabled students who do not possess a Badge are invited to
contact the Disability Team or the Campus Tutor to discuss
parking arrangements. Visitors should contact their group leader
or conference organiser, or the member of staff receiving them
for advice on parking.
Access to teaching buildings on the Broadstairs Campus
The Carey building is accessible to disabled people via:
• Main entrance Northwood Road
• Main entrance opposite the Allen Building
• Entrance to the Student Information Centre
The Allen building is accessible via the ramp to the main doors.
Toilets that are accessible to wheelchair users are located as follows
• Carey, ground floor Cg30
• Carey, first floor Cf30
• Carey, second floor Cs09
• Allen, ground floor Alg16

Room bookings
Students
If you arrive at a lecture theatre or teaching room to find that
provision has not been made for you regarding access or other
facilities such as a separate table, the lecturer or tutor
should be informed. They should request assistance via the
Reception desk in Carey on ext 5131.
Visitors
Please inform the group leader, or a conference organiser, if
you have any difficulties with the access or facilities. They
will then inform the Campus Events
Co-ordinator on 01843 609184.
Personal assistance
Students should contact the Disability Team if they require
mobility assistance around the Campus.
Visitors should contact the member of staff receiving them,
their group leader or Conference Organiser, if they require
mobility assistance.
